Peer Gallery is pleased to present American Stripper, a solo exhibition by photographer Charise Isis. The twenty-three black and white photographs were selected from more than eighty images of exotic dancers made over the course of twelve years at clubs in upstate New York where Isis, herself, worked as a dancer. A monograph of the work, published by Five Ties Press, will be released in June, with a book signing at the gallery.
